Level II | Apprentice Mentorship
The bridge between certification and actually working as a teacher.
About Level II
Level 2 is where you start working with real studio clients. This level bridges formal training and professional instruction through coached practice, class planning, and supervised opportunities to teach. Once you've applied and completed a coached practice session and evaluation, you're approved as a studio apprentice and move into apprentice-led private and group sessions with general clients — no injuries or issues yet, that's Level 3 — while continuing everything from Level 1.

You don't need to complete certification to become an apprentice. Once approved, you're paid for the client sessions and classes you lead — separate income on top of the mentorship itself, not part of the price above.

From Our Student Teachers
I have taken Mat 1 and the Anatomy course at Body Awareness Studio. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and explain the material in detail. I love how they offer teacher training to those who are able to participate. It shows how this studio cares about helping future instructors.
I recently took a Balanced Body Teacher Training course with Leslie and had the best experience. She's incredibly knowledgeable and has such a great approach to teaching. It was really hands-on, and I learned so much.
FAQ
Is this worth it if I'm already paying for my certification program?
Yes. Certification gives you the method; Level 2 is where that method gets tested on real clients, under real conditions, with a mentor giving you specific feedback in the moment. That loop — teach, get corrected, adjust, teach again — is what actually builds a confident teacher. Nobody gets there from certification classes alone; it takes supervised reps.
What if I don't end up teaching at Body Awareness?
Completing Level 2 doesn't guarantee a teaching position here. What it does guarantee is real teaching experience, a polished lesson plan, documented hours, and studio fluency that any hiring studio will recognize.
What if I don't pass my certification exam?
We work hard to prepare you, but the outcome is yours to own — Level 2 doesn't guarantee passing the NCPT or any certification exam. What we promise is that you'll walk in more prepared than you would have been without it.
Does completing Level 2 guarantee acceptance into Level 3?
No — but it puts you in a strong position, same as Level 1 did for Level 2. Level 2 is where you're learning to lead real sessions under supervision. Level 3 is for apprentices ready to take on specialty clients — injuries, modifications, more complexity — with less oversight. What gets you there isn't the calendar, it's the reps: leading sessions consistently, taking feedback seriously, and actually getting better session to session.
How is this different from just observing classes on my own?
By Level 2 you're not just observing — you're leading real sessions with real clients. But you're doing it with a mentor giving you specific feedback in the moment, not guessing whether what you did worked. That's the difference between leading on your own and leading with someone who catches what you can't see yet.
