Level III | Advanced Mentorship
For teachers ready to keep refining their work alongside people who care about it as much as they do.
About Level III
Level 3 is open to any student ready for it. You'll already have been teaching classes and sessions, completed all of your BBE modules, and either be working toward test-out or have already graduated. You'll work through unique case studies for real or prospective clients, learning to modify classical Pilates progressions for clients with injuries or other needs — under closer mentor oversight, running the Wellness Accelerator, and keeping a standing open invitation to observe, assist, lead, or coach the Level 1 and Level 2 students coming up behind you.

You continue to earn the standard apprentice rate for any approved classes or sessions you teach, same as Level 2. Graduates may also be considered for a paid studio instructor position — employment opportunities are based on studio needs and readiness and aren't guaranteed by program participation.

From Our Student Teachers
I am learning and enjoying teacher training at Body Awareness. I have been and am continuing to be trained by all three instructors. Each of them have their individual skills, but all three truly care about developing our individual teaching and training skills. I love being able to work at the studio in addition to the teacher training modules.
Leslie's cueing is exceptional. Aspiring Pilates instructors will greatly benefit from her guidance. She has a unique ability to help you refine your teaching skills, making you a better instructor overall. She generously allows trainees to use her space for personal practice — invaluable for honing your skills and gaining confidence.
FAQ
I'm already certified. Why do I need continued mentorship?
Certification gave you the method. Hands-on mentorship — teaching, getting real feedback, and doing it again — is what turns that method into your own teaching. A couple of training weekends doesn't finish that process; most teachers hit real questions a year or two in that no certification body answers. Level 3 is where you keep refining, alongside people who take it as seriously as you do.
How is this different from just observing classes on my own?
At this point you've been teaching a while, so observing alone might feel like enough. It usually isn't. Specialty clients — people with injuries, limitations, things that don't show up in a standard training — are where teachers plateau without feedback. Level 3 gives you mentors who've already solved the problems you're about to run into, and peers working through the same complexity you are.
What if I don't end up teaching at Body Awareness?
Level 3 doesn't guarantee a paid instructor position here — that's a possible outcome if you graduate, not a promise. What it does guarantee is advanced experience with specialty clients, documented case study work, and mentor relationships that carry weight wherever you end up teaching.
What if I don't pass test-out?
We prepare you as thoroughly as we can, but test-out is yours to pass, not ours to guarantee. What Level 3 does is put you in front of real specialty clients with mentor support long before test day, so you're walking in with experience, not just study hours.
