Leslie Clayton has been training Pilates teachers at Body Awareness Studio since 1998. She has invited several talented professionals to join her since that time. Together Leslie Clayton, Sara Sammons-Ulmer and Cory Garner are committed to:
1) Providing high quality Pilates education
2) Helping teachers reach their greatest potential as instructors
3) Using the Pilates Method as a vehicle to help others help themselves
4) Creating a safe environment where you can learn, explore, and excel as a Pilates professional!
As a result of their commitment, the Body Awareness Pilates Teacher Training program has a holistic approach that invites students to delve deeper into their body, mind and spirit while also learning how to successfully teach Pilates to others.
In 2008, Leslie and her teacher training staff, teamed up with Balanced Body as their Georgia Host Site for Pilates Teacher Training Education. This enjoyable collaboration has brought students from all over the United States to teacher training seminars at Body Awareness. The Balanced Body at Body Awareness program covers the most current research in therapeutic Pilates applications as well as the traditional Pilates exercises. It is designed to help each individual instructor-in-training develop their unique strengths that are a part of their niche as a Pilates Instructor. Certificate of completions in Mat, Mat & Reformer, and Comprehensive are available.
We offer Balanced Body Education trainings monthly. Students and teachers are encouraged to come back and participate in the training weekends as often as possible. Those who do so, gather more experience while being supervised and coached on how to deliver the best possible Pilates experience to their clients. If you’ve already taken a certain weekend training and you are interested in reviewing again, ask Sara Sammons-Ulmer about the details and about the special re-take price. email@example.com
We offer workshops to enhance specific areas of teaching. Such as, Verbal cueing, Hands on cueing, Postural awareness and assessment as well as, how to safely challenge your clients to step up to their next level of strength, flexibility and balance within their Pilates practice. We’ll encourage to stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone and keep learning and growing. Check with our blog and continuing education page to learn what’s next on the schedule!
